About the Role
You’ll operate late‑model vehicles to complete scheduled deliveries and pickups, ensuring loads are secured, paperwork is accurate, and vehicles are maintained to company and regulatory standards. This role may include metro and/or regional runs with early starts and occasional overtime.

Key Responsibilities

Complete daily delivery and pickup schedules safely and on time
Conduct pre‑start and post‑trip inspections; report defects promptly
Secure loads in line with load restraint guidelines
Maintain accurate logbooks, delivery dockets, and PODs
Communicate professionally with dispatch, customers, and warehouse teams
Adhere to CoR, fatigue management, and WHS requirements at all times
Care for equipment and keep cab and trailer clean and tidy


About You

Valid [State] driver’s licence: HR / HC / MC (specify required class)
Proven experience operating heavy vehicles in metro/regional areas
Strong safety mindset and understanding of Chain of Responsibility
Ability to manage time, plan routes, and meet delivery windows
Good communication and customer service skills
Physically fit to assist with basic manual handling as required

Nice to Have (Optional)

Forklift (LF) licence
Dangerous Goods (DG) awareness or licence
Experience with refrigerated, tautliner, or tanker operations
Basic mechanical aptitude for minor on‑road troubleshooting
