Job Summary:
A Registered Nurse provides direct patient care, supports recovery, and promotes health and wellness in various healthcare settings. RNs assess patient conditions, administer medications and treatments, collaborate with medical teams, and educate patients and families on health management.
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, monitor, and document patient health conditions and progress.
Administer medications, treatments, and injections as prescribed.
Collaborate with doctors and healthcare professionals to develop care plans.
Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
Operate medical equipment and assist in diagnostic tests and procedures.
Maintain accurate patient records and comply with confidentiality standards.
Respond to emergencies and perform life-saving interventions when necessary.
Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, policies, and safety standards.
Participate in health promotion and disease prevention initiatives.
Qualifications:
Current registration with the relevant nursing board or authority.
Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent qualification.
Clinical experience in a hospital, aged care, or community health setting.
Strong communication, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of infection control, patient safety, and medical ethics.
Work Environment:
Hospitals, clinics, aged care facilities, or community health centers.
May involve shift work, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.
Requires physical stamina and emotional resilience.
